The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has collaborated with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to showcase its innovative technologies at the World Congress 2023 of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) in Durban, South Africa.
The showpiece event witnessed the transformative prowess of five Indian startups incubated at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur, highlighting India’s technological advancements on a global platform.
India showcased its technological advancement and emphasised its commitment to promoting a supportive environment for startups with financial inclusion policies. WBAF 2023 provides a unique platform for showcasing India’s vibrant startup landscape.

Nikhil Agarwal, CEO of SIIC, IIT Kanpur noted the startups incubated at SIIC are on a mission to redefine industries and contribute to India’s technological prowess.
“Our presence at WBAF 2023 is a golden opportunity to showcase the innovative solutions developed by Noccarc Technologies, Kritsnam Technologies, AgroNXT Services, Renergizr Industries, and Voltworks Technologies to a global audience,” he added.
At the event, SIDBI solidified its commitment to enhancing financial inclusion in India by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WBAF.
This strategic partnership aims to support startup growth and foster financial inclusivity, marking a significant step in transforming India’s financial landscape. This collaboration will further strengthen international relations and augment prospective startups with significant growth potential in both nations.
