The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), the technology incubator of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, has launched its Hindi Publication Division.
It is dedicated to sharing groundbreaking work in innovation and make IIT Kanpur’s innovative efforts accessible to a wider audience.
The creation of the Division has a primary objective of minimising the language barrier in accessing technical information related to the startup ecosystem and innovation.
Its main purpose is to enable non-English speakers to access and comprehend technical knowledge. Additionally, it strives to foster the growth of technical translation efforts and facilitate the widespread dissemination of technical knowledge, thereby effectively bridging the language gap.
By aligning with The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this initiative aims to make technical knowledge more accessible by imparting it in Hindi.
SIIC IIT Kanpur has been at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements, driving the transformation of ideas into successful ventures. The Hindi Division will serve as a dedicated platform for the dissemination of information about SIIC IIT Kanpur’s innovative projects, cutting-edge research, success stories of startups, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
Prof Abhay Karandikar, IIT Kanpur director, said by eliminating barriers, encouraging collaboration, and igniting the entrepreneurial drive within everyone, the Division aims to make substantial contributions to the nation’s growth and progress.
SIIC, IIT Kanpur, is one of the oldest incubators in the country. It was established in 2000 when the entrepreneurial ecosystem was still at a nascent stage in India. The multifaceted and vibrant incubation ecosystem at IIT Kanpur, nurtured for over two decades, prospers to fill the gaps on the road to converting an idea into a successful and meaningful business model.
