Ahead of the January 22 consecration of Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government has deployed new age security and surveillance systems in the temple town.

Apart from the physical deployment of security forces, the cutting edge technology to ensure comprehensive safety in Ayodhya.

The temple town has been put under the watchful eye of drones equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and anti-mine drones as part of the concerted efforts to secure the entire region.

While AI-supported drones are conducting aerial surveillance across Ayodhya, promptly reporting any suspicious activity to the control room, anti-mine drones are simultaneously scanning the specific areas for mines or explosives.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed state police to put in place first grade security paraphernalia in Ayodhya for the mega ceremony, which would be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Operating at a height of a metre above the ground, the anti-mine drone is equipped with advanced technology for detecting underground explosives. The drone entails a gadget, attached to its underbelly, for spectrometer wavelength detection.
