Ayodhya, which is aspiring to become a global religious and spiritual tourism hub, will witness the start of projects totalling more than Rs 10,000 crore at the groundbreaking ceremony (GBC) to be held in Lucknow tomorrow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at the GBC, wherein projects of nearly Rs 10 trillion would be launched in the presence of a galaxy of top investors and industry captains.
Meanwhile, the projects to be launched in Ayodhya pertain to different sectors viz. housing, tourism, healthcare, dairy, medical, education, forest etc. The total employment generation potential is pegged at 20,000 in the temple town.
In the tourism sector alone, proposals of more than Rs 3,129 crore have been received. This includes the maximum investment of Rs 3,000 crore by housing major The House of Abhinandan Lodha Group alone.
Under the leadership of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Ayodhya has undergone a transformative journey towards development, making it an appealing destination for investors, a state government spokesperson said.
The interest among investors for Ayodhya has synergised especially after the consecration of Lord Ram temple on January 22, 2024.
