In an innovative job-oriented scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government has started to invite applications for the one-year Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme in the state.
The Yogi Adityanath government 2.0 will appoint one research scholar for each of the 100 backward blocks of the state to undertake research and development work.
With a salary of Rs 30,000 per month to each fellow along with travel allowance of Rs 10,000 per month and a one-time payment of Rs 15,000 for a tablet, the government is anticipating an expenditure of Rs 5.58 crore on the scheme.
On July 19, the Yogi cabinet had given its nod to launch the programme, which aims to connect the youth with government policymaking, management, project implementation and monitoring.
The applications for the fellowship programme will be accepted from August 10 to August 24. The applicant should be up to 40 years of age and proficient in Hindi reading and writing in Hindi.
An applicant must be a graduate with at least 60% marks from a reputed university or institute. Those possessing a Diploma in Rural Development, Environment & Climate, Banking & Finance, Public Policy, Education, Health, Sanitation & Skill Development, Energy, Tourism & Culture, Artificial Intelligence, IT and Biotech are eligible to apply.
To apply, the applicants must log on to http://cmfellowship.upsdc.gov.in/. A 500-word statement of purpose will also have to be submitted.
