To foster awareness about bird conservation among devotees visiting the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025, Uttar Pradesh will host a 2-day International Bird Festival from February 16.

It will bring together noted national and international conservationists, scientists, ornithologists, ecology and environment experts, bird lovers, as well as school and college students.

The event will ensure that the Maha Kumbh will not only symbolise spiritual journey, but also mark a significant step toward nature and environmental conservation.

As part of the Festival during Feb 16-18, a ‘Maha Kumbh of 200 bird species’ featuring endangered species like the Indian Skimmer, Flamingo, and Siberian Crane will also be organised.

The Yogi Adityanath government has planned a series of competitions, including best photo, slogan writing, and painting, offering prizes worth ₹21 lakh, ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹5 lakh.

Adding to the grandeur, Siberian birds from over 10 countries, including Siberia, Mongolia, and Afghanistan, have already arrived.

For more details, interested participants could connect via WhatsApp at 9319277004, as informed by Alok Kumar Pandey, IT Head of the Forest Department, Prayagraj.

According to DFO Prayagraj, Arvind Kumar Yadav, the competitions will be a major attraction for the devotees and tourists visiting Maha Kumbh.
