With the Maha Kumbh 2025 in its 26th day, the world’s largest congregation of faith has clocked a pilgrims count of 400 million.

The Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, which started on January 13, will culminate its 45-day calendar on the occasion of Mahashivratri on February 26.

Nonetheless, the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers at ‘Triveni Sangam’ continues to witness an overwhelming surge of devotees and pilgrims from around the world.

With 19 days remaining in the grand event, the total number of pilgrims could exceed 500 million.

Per the analysis of those taking the holy dip (bathing), the auspicious Mauni Amavasya period saw the highest turnout of 80 million.

On Makar Sankranti, 35 million devotees participated in the ‘Amrit Snan’.

Meanwhile, top political leaders, celebrities and spiritual figures have also taken part in the sacred ritual.

These include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Other notable political figures include UP Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Manipur CM N Biren Singh, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, and union ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Shripad Naik.

Opposition leaders and renowned personalities from various fields have also participated, including SP national president Akhilesh Yadav.

Bollywood actors and sports personalities such as Hema Malini, Anupam Kher, Bhagyashree, Milind Soman, Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal, cricketer Suresh Raina, international wrestler the Great Khali, and choreographer Remo D’Souza have also been part of the Maha Kumbh.

On February 10, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Prayagraj for the sacred ritual at Sangam.
