In a major push to boost youth entrepreneurship, the Uttar Pradesh government is giving momentum to the Mukhyamnatri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (MYUVA).

The current goal is to benefit 150,000 young individuals in the current financial year 2025–26.

The initiative will support entrepreneurs establish self-employment ventures and contribute to the state’s economy.

It is aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of transforming UP into an ‘Uttam Pradesh’ and achieving a $trillion economy.

Guided by the motto ‘Every step towards entrepreneurship, every youth towards self-reliance’, a strong framework is being put in place to promote self-employment across UP.

Efforts are underway at administrative levels to identify, support and mentor youth interested in entrepreneurship.

The campaign focuses not only on financial assistance but also on training, capacity building and easing the process of setting up new enterprises.

The Yogi government has partnered with banks to support young entrepreneurs under the MYUVA.

Mainly working with central banks, the state is helping youth benefit from this scheme. These banks are handling the registration, application approval, and fund disbursement processes under the campaign.

All banks have been directed to establish a clear framework for processing pending applications within a specified timeframe.

Once approved, funds will be disbursed promptly to enable youth to launch their businesses. The entire process is under close scrutiny, Adityanath personally overseeing the implementation and progress of the scheme across the state.

In a recent review meeting of MSME and export promotion department, the current status, future targets and detailed plan for the scheme were discussed.
