Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath today launched a mega 800-acre housing project of Rs 7,000 crore for the residents of Lucknow.
With this launch, the registration process for the proposed Anant Nagar Residential Facility being developed by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has begun.
In line with an integrated town planning approach, over 100 acres have been earmarked for an educational hub.
Reiterating his commitment to transparency and citizen-centric governance, he directed LDA to ensure no individual required a middleman to access housing under this scheme.
“We must make Anant Nagar accessible to the common people as quickly as possible. Ease of living must be ensured through efficient execution,” Yogi added.
He said housing schemes like Anant Nagar and the development of new urban spaces are meaningful steps toward realising the state government’s vision of a $trillion economy.
The housing scheme will provide residential facilities to 150,000 people. It comprises construction of 10,000 flats across 60 plots.
Provisions have been made to construct 5,000 units for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and LIG (Lower Income Group), benefiting more than 25,000 people.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 3,000 houses will also be constructed in the area.
Residential facilities will be available for 20,000 people in 4,000 residential plots, with the development of a 130-acre park.
