Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has emerged as the best performing CM in India, reveals a latest survey.
The ‘Mood of the Nation’ survey, conducted by a media group, saw Yogi emerge as the top choice among the public.
Of more than 136,000 respondents nationwide, over 33 percent rated him as the best CM, a feat he scored for the third consecutive time in the survey.
In comparison, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin, and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu trailed Yogi, who garnered the highest number of votes in a poll conducted across 30 states.
Arvind Kejriwal was considered popular by 13.8 percent of respondents, placing him second.
Mamata Banerjee secured the third spot with 9.1 percent support, followed by M K Stalin with 4.7 percent of the votes and Chandrababu Naidu with 4.6 percent of the votes.
Other CMs including Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde, Karnataka’s Siddaramaiah, Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma, Uttarakhand’s Pushkar Singh Dhami and Bihar’s Nitish Kumar received varying levels of support.
The perceptible improved law and order in UP and big ticket investment after Yogi took over the state’s reins in March 2017 continues to be the monk-turned-politician’s strongest asset as a leading politician.
