In the run up to the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, the Yogi Adityanath government is holding roadshows in top cities of India to foster momentum for the flagship event.

Yesterday, the second roadshow in the ongoing series was held at the FTCCI, Hyderabad.

It witnessed the participation of 150+ industrialists, exporters, trade consultants and business organisations.

On July 11, the first roadshow was held in New Delhi. Earlier, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath also held a curtain raiser in Lucknow for UPITS 2025.

Meanwhile, in his Hyderabad address, Rakesh Sachan, UP Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom, Textile and Silk, said the state has emerged as the fastest-growing economy in India and is rapidly transforming into a global trade hub.

“UPITS is more than a trade fair, it is a platform to bring global recognition to our artisans, MSMEs and local entrepreneurs,” he noted.

The five-day UPITS 2025 will be hosted during 25-29 September at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

Raj Kamal Yadav, UP Additional Commissioner (Industries), highlighted that UPITS is India’s first state-led international trade show.

Last year, the event generated business worth Rs 500–600 crore, with major companies like Titan placing orders with local artisans.

He said the UPITS is opening doors to global markets for small manufacturers, he said.

He emphasised the potential for synergy between UP and Telangana, both industrial powerhouses, especially in sectors like IT, textiles, pharma and handicrafts.

The trade show is being jointly organised by the UP government and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML).

FTCCI President Suresh Kumar Singhal termed UPITS a model for national collaboration and domestic export promotion.

Meanwhile, Sudip Sarkar, CEO of IEML, said UPITS 2025 is expected to generate business worth Rs 2,000 crore.

The event will feature over 2,400 exhibitors, 125,000 B2B and 450,000 B2C visitors, along with 35,000 B2B meetings and participation from more than 550 international buyers representing over 70 countries.

Upcoming roadshows are scheduled in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
