World Bank president Ajay Banga is visiting Uttar Pradesh tomorrow to hold a series of meetings with stakeholders in Lucknow inclding one with chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
His arrival reflects the increasing global interest in UP’s rapid development, as the state moves steadily toward its ambitious goal of becoming a $trillion economy.
A UP government spokesperson said Banga will witness firsthand the transformation of UP, now widely recognised as the ‘growth engine of the nation’.
During his one-day tour, the World Bank chief is scheduled to participate in a series of meetings, field visits apart from a roundtable discussion with stakeholders in the presence of UP chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh.
Later, he will meet CM Adityanath at his official residence for a discussion followed by dinner.
