Uttar Pradesh is set to constitute a taskforce to develop the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) into a ‘dynamic city’.
Aligning with UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the state aims at enhancing Noida’s branding, not just as an industrial hub, but as a modern city with cutting-edge urban amenities.
The taskforce will identify and develop vibrant cultural spaces within the city. In fact, Noida has begun the process of selecting a knowledge partner to expedite the formation of the taskforce.
Noida, a key part of the National Capital Region (NCR), like many emerging or planned cities, faces certain challenges.
To overcome these, the Yogi government plans to rebrand the city as a vibrant, self-reliant and livable urban community with emphasis on improving the quality of life.
The new branding strategy for Noida aims to highlight it not just as an industrial hub but as a dynamic city focused on its young population and modern civic amenities.
The plan includes developing tourist attractions, creating selfie points, and accelerating the necessary development and construction work to enhance the city’s appeal.
The project will focus on public engagement, commercial and investment opportunities, and tourism promotion.
