The Uttar Pradesh government has fast-tracked the construction of a state-of-art forensic science laboratory in Lucknow.
The facility, designed as a 7-story complex, will cost an estimated Rs 87.50 crore, and will be built on land provided by the UP State Forensic Institute.
It will significantly enhance criminal and other investigative processes in UP. The project will be completed in 18 months.
The lab will be solar-powered and feature a range of facilities, including an underground tank, incinerator, compost plant, acoustic wall paneling, gas-based firefighting system, DG set, electric substation, and landscaped grounds.
It will entail advanced amenities like high-capacity lifts, HVAC systems, VRV and VRF systems, IP-based EPABX system, IP-based CCTV etc.
A master plan, to be finalised in 90 days by the #YogiAdityanath government, will include a comprehensive project report covering architectural design, topography, site survey, and sub-soil analysis.
Renowned institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, and NIT Prayagraj will lend their expertise to ensuring the facility meets the highest standards.
