To accelerate the government-aided schools catch up with their private sector peers, the Uttar Pradesh government has initiated the process of their rejuvenation.
There is a plan to connect these schools to an online platform comprising a mobile app, which will integrate Aadhaar and other vital information of students and the staff.
The app will be include features such as geo tagging and a teaching staff module.
The UP Social Welfare department has entrusted the responsibility of its development to the UP Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC).
UPLC has started the process of selection and allocation of work to the empanelled companies, and has sought applications through e-tender.
Aligning with the vision of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations are now underway to develop the app.
The proposed online module-based mobile app will navigate vast database, allowing the tracking and accessing of information of over 60,000 students.
The app will include the birth date, gender, mobile number, address, family background, social and financial details, Aadhaar validation, and academic records of the students.
Similar information will also be recorded for staff and teachers.
