Uttar Pradesh will celebrate ‘Janjati Bhaagidari Utsav’ (Tribal Partnership Festival) during Nov 15-20 on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.
Over 300 tribal artists from India and abroad will take part in this event, which will be inaugurated by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Artists from 22 states including UP, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, Assam, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Mizoram, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Delhi, as well as international participants from Slovakia and Croatia, will take part.
The fest will feature tribal artists, handicraftsmen, weavers, painters etc. Alongside tribal artists, performances by nomadic tribes, acrobats, impersonators, Bhapang players, Kaachi Ghori dancers, Logman, and puppetry will be included.
The fest will also host a craft fair with 100 shops showcasing tribal handicrafts, costumes, cuisine, tribal games, tribal musical instruments etc.
To visitors will have the opportunity to buy products made by tribal communities, including clothing, wooden items, jute products, items made from Moose, and forest medicines.
