Uttar Pradesh tourism department organised an excursion for 3,000 students of Youth Tourism Club to the newly inaugurated UP Darshan Park in Lucknow.

This was aimed at showcasing the rich heritage of UP and promote its versatile tourism potential.

UP Darshan Park hosts the replicas of 16 prominent tourist destinations including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Dudhwa National Park, Fatehpur Sikri, Vidhan Sabha Bhawan etc.

The park offers a glimpse into the iconic landmarks and spiritual places in UP. On each day of the excursion during May 8-11, approximately 700-800 students were taken in different groups.

UP tourism and culture principal secretary Mukesh Kumar Meshram said the Yogi Adityanath government in the state is committed to nurturing the next generation as well informed citizens, and to contribute to the state’s burgeoning tourism sector.

“By providing students with such immersive experiences, we are aiming to foster a sense of pride in them for their culture and heritage,” he noted.

UP is among the top tourism destinations in India spanning different domains including religious, spiritual, heritage etc.
