Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has welcomed the Uttar Pradesh Annual Budget 2025-26, which was tabled in the state legislature today.

The Budget size of more than Rs 8.08 trillion corresponds to an increase of 9.8 percent compared to Rs 7.36 trillion of the Annual Budget 2024-25.

Smita Agarwal, CII UP Chairperson, and Director & CFO, PTC Industries, said the Budget underscores the state’s commitment to technological advancement, industrial growth, and healthcare.

She said the substantial investments under the Electronics Manufacturing and IT policies demonstrate the Yogi Adityanath government’s growing prominence as a hub for digital transformation.

“The expansion of data centers and the launch of the Semiconductor Policy 2024 will position UP as a key player in the global semiconductor landscape. Additionally, the focus on expressway development will further strengthen the state’s connectivity. CII remains committed to partnering with the government to drive sustainable economic progress,” she noted.

Upasana Arora, CII UP Vice-Chairperson, and Managing Director, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals, said the Budget reflects a strong push for innovation, infrastructure, and inclusive growth.

The increase in data center investments and the introduction of new expressways will significantly enhance the ease of doing business in the state, she added.

Navneet Ravikar, CII UP State Council Member, and Chief Strategy Officer, BL Agro, said the Budget reflects a progressive vision, especially in the fields of agriculture, technology, and rural development.

The allocation of Rs 454 crore for agricultural universities and research institutes will drive innovation in farming, enhancing productivity and sustainability, he added.

Investments in digital libraries and AI-driven advancements will strengthen knowledge accessibility and skill development, he said.
