The Centre has sanctioned a special grant of ₹2,100 crores for the preparation of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025.
Of the sanctioned grant, the central government has released the first installment of Rs 1,050 crore.
Meanwhile, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the financial grant, calling it a crucial step toward achieving the vision of a ‘Divya-Bhavya-Digital Mahakumbh’.
In his statement, CM Yogi reaffirmed the commitment of the ‘double-engine’ government to make Prayagraj Maha Kumbh the world’s largest cultural and spiritual congregation.
Expressing his thoughts on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), the CM highlighted the government’s dedication and attributed it to the visionary guidance of Modi.
Maha Kumbh will be celebrated during a 45-day calendar starting January 13 to February 26, 2025.
