Maha Kumbh 2025, which has welcomed more than 50 million pilgrims in the initial two days of the religious congregation, is resonating far and wide including the Gulf and the Islamic countries.

According to Google Trends, the Maha Kumbh 2025 has sparked curiosity and widespread searches in Islamic nations and the Arab world, indicating the global reach of this ancient spiritual gathering.

The grand inauguration in Prayagraj has attracted devotees from India and countries like Brazil, Germany, Japan, England, the US, and Spain, with growing interest from Islamic nations, including Pakistan and the Gulf region.

Maha Kumbh has transformed its identity from a traditional Indian event into a global celebration of faith and spirituality.

Among the Islamic countries, Pakistan tops the list with largest number of people searching for the event on Google. They have shown keen interest in the festival, particularly in its massive scale and the mammoth gathering of devotees.

Following Pakistan, nations like Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain have also shown considerable interest, frequently searching for updates and details about the event.

The Yogi Adityanath government has spent more than Rs 7,000 crore to host the event, which is estimated to witness more than 400 million pilgrims from January 13 to February 26, 2025.

Additionally, countries such as Nepal, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Britain, Thailand, and the United States have seen a surge in online searches related to Maha Kumbh.

The presence of international pilgrims and the significant online interest reflects the increasing global influence of Sanatan culture.

Millions of devotees from around the world are participating in the spiritual experience, emphasising the universal appeal of Indian traditions and spirituality.
