Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025 not only reached a spiritual zenith but set a global benchmark in terms of grandeur and divinity.
The 45-day-long mega event starting on January 13 culminated on the occasion of the pious Mahashivratri festival on February 26.
The Maha Kumbh clocked a pilgrim inflow of over 660 million, which is more than the combined population of the US and Russia.
With the Yogi Adityanath government’s relentless efforts and the central government’s support, Prayagraj witnessed a remarkable transformation, making Maha Kumbh more magnificent and divine than ever before.
Most importantly, the message of unity that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had envisioned before the commencement of the Maha Kumbh was vividly realised.
All 13 Akharas (Hindu ascetic orders) actively participated in the Maha Kumbh, adhering to the tradition of taking the holy dip on all three ‘Amrit Snan’ (bathing) occasions.
Meanwhile, the Yogi government left no stone unturned in making the Maha Kumbh grand.
A Maha Kumbh Nagar was established over an extensive 4,000-hectare area, divided into 25 sectors, for proper crowd management and seamless organisation.
While the UP government allocated Rs 7,000 crore for the event, the central government’s support helped transform Prayagraj with a total investment of Rs 15,000 crore.
One of the standout features of the Maha Kumbh was the Digital Maha Kumbh initiative.
A dedicated website and a mobile app were launched for the first time, providing real-time information and updates.
AI chatbots assisted visitors, and an MoU with Google enabled seamless navigation across the Maha Kumbh city.
CM Adityanath maintained a close watch on the Maha Kumbh arrangements.
During these 45 days, he visited Maha Kumbh City 10 times, conducting site inspections, assessing ground realities and providing necessary directives.
