Union Budget 2025-26 presents a forward-looking roadmap for India’s economic transformation, with a strong push for innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure development, according to industry chamber CII.

The enhanced support for MSMEs, focus on skill development, and urban transformation initiatives will be instrumental in driving industrial growth and job creation, particularly in the Northern Region.

CII has welcomed strategic measures and looks forward to working closely with the government to accelerate their implementation for a more competitive and inclusive economy.

Smita Agarwal, Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh and Director & CFO, PTC Industries, said the Budget 2025 is a well-balanced roadmap for India’s economic progress.

The targeted support for agriculture through the Agricultural District Programme will uplift farmers and drive sustainable growth in rural areas, she added.

“Expanding credit guarantees for MSMEs and startups is a welcome move that will provide small businesses the confidence to invest, innovate, and scale,” she noted.

Upasana Arora, Vice-Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh and MD, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital mentioned India’s future lies in its ability to innovate and build world-class infrastructure, and this budget sets the tone for that.

Madhav Singhania, Chairman, CII Northern Region and Deputy MD and CEO, JK Cement, stated the Budget reflects a pragmatic and forward-looking vision fostering a resilient and globally competitive economy.

Sunjay Kapur, Deputy Chairman, CII Northern Region and Chairman, Sona Comstar, remarked the Budget lays a strong foundation for sustainable urban growth, infrastructure modernisation, human capital development and a thriving investment climate.
