HDFC Bank, India’s leading private sector Bank, has announced the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Coast Guard to offer a suite of benefits pertaining to salary and pension to its personnel.

The MoU, which was signed in 2022, has now been extended with additional benefits for over 14,000 Indian Coast Guard personnel and their families.

The MoU was signed by Harmanpreet Singh Khanna, Head – Strategic Affairs & Central Government Business – HDFC Bank, and Narendra Singh, Deputy Inspector General – Indian Coast Guard.

, in presence of Mr. Arun Mediratta, Branch Banking Head, North – HDFC Bank and other esteemed dignitaries from Indian Coast Guard and HDFC Bank.

As a part of this MoU, Indian Coast Guard personnel will get access to HDFC Bank’s suite of products and services along with digital banking products, offering them convenience and easy access.

Indian Coast Guard personnel having account with HDFC Bank will be able to avail a host of additional benefits including Personal Accidental Death cover of up to Rs 80 lakh; Permanent Total/Partial Accidental Disability cover up to Rs 80 lakh; Education Benefit of up to Rs 5 lakh for dependent child in case of accidental death of Salary account holder etc.

Besides, it also provides Marriage Benefit of up to Rs 5 lakh for dependent unmarried daughter in case of accidental death of Salary account holder; and International Air accident cover of Rs 1 crore.
