IIT Kanpur launches free crash course for NEET 2025IIT Kanpur

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur and AVPL International, a leading company in the Indian agriculture drone ecosystem, have collaborated for developing cutting-edge drones to address the challenges faced by large landholders in India, Australia, Austria and the European nations.

The two organisations recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect.

Prof Tarun Gupta, Dean of Research and Development, IIT Kanpur, said the partnership will harness drone technology for tackling agricultural hurdles such as seed broadcasting and agrochemical spraying.

Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Chairman of AVPL, said by leveraging research at IIT Kanpur, the company aimed at developing drone solutions to not only fulfill but surpass the advancing demands of agriculture globally.

Himanshu Sharma, CEO of AVPL, noted the collaboration will yield drones that will enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability on a global scale.

Meanwhile, AVPL will establish its R&D lab within Technopark@iitk, the research and technology park of IIT Kanpur.

AVPL International has operations across 12 states with 50 Global Skill and Incubation Hubs and 20 World Skill and Incubation Hubs focused on Drone and Agriculture sectors.

They offer services Drone and Skill Training, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), and Drone Manufacturing, alongside agri-input retail outlets, aiming to uplift rural youth through global employment opportunities.
