Cosmetic major Revlon India is aiming for an aggressive growth trajectory under the leadership of its Executive Director and Head of the Indian Subcontinent, Meghna Modi.
“We are planning to build the business in line with our brand promise — to move the world forward boldly, giving every woman the platform she needs to live fully, freely, and purposefully,” Meghna Modi told the media in Lucknow last evening.
In partnership with Modi-Mundipharma Beauty Products, Revlon India will leverage its potential and expand its distribution across all channels — exclusive brand outlets, department stores, general trade, and e-commerce.
Since her appointment in November 2023, Meghna Modi has been dexterously fostering the brand’s rejuvenation and restructuring across sales, supply chain, e-commerce, and organisational culture.
The company will focus on both the color cosmetics range (makeup and skincare) and personal care range (hair color, hair care, and body sprays), she added.
Meanwhile, Revlon India is looking to double its business in the next 2–3 years by expanding its brand outlets from 300 to over 600, and growing its presence in department stores from 1,000 to over 4,000.
Her growth mantra combines offline expansion with a stronger digital approach. Currently, about 25% of sales come from online channels, with the rest through retail shops and department stores.
She highlighted the importance of increasing engagement on visual platforms like Instagram to attract aspirational and millennial consumers in Tier-2 cities.
Revlon India plans to launch new categories including perfumes and hair care products, and has introduced a millennial-focused brand — Street Wear Cosmetics, with prices starting around ₹399, as part of its strategy to enter more inclusive and affordable segments, especially in Tier-2 markets.
Modi Mundipharma, a company under the Umesh Modi Group, launched Revlon Limited (Cosmetics Division) — previously known as Modi Revlon — in 1995, introducing Revlon to India.
It was the first international cosmetics brand launched in India.
