Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the Union Budget 2022-23 as composite and progressive.
Yogi said the Budget presented by union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament was aimed at realising the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
“Every section of society especially farmers, women and youth are expressing gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the union finance minister for presenting a progressive budget,” he added.
The CM claimed the farmers of UP would be the largest beneficiaries of the budgetary provision of Rs 2.37 trillion for monetary transfer under the minimum support price (MSP) mechanism in 2022-23.
Since, the Union Budget talks about creating 6 million new jobs, UP, which has the largest population as well as employable youth, would get ample employment opportunities.
Recalling the provision of an interest free 50-year loan window to the states, 400 new generation Vande Bharat trains, road and airport infra, cargo development and health infra would provide greater heights to the country’s economic landscape.
The CM observed the promotion of biogas energy would help the farmers derive benefits from the agri residue as well, which would not only increase their income but also curb pollution.
“The state would gain immensely from the promotion of chemical-free natural farming in the vicinity of Ganga, since the river has the largest catchment in UP,” he asserted.
He said the allocation of Rs one trillion for PM Gati Shakti would boost India’s as well as UP’s infra projects, especially expressways, airports, rapid rail etc. “UP would be the top beneficiary of this scheme.”
Yogi also lauded the ‘One Class, One TV’ scheme as it would augment the effectiveness of digital education.
Claiming that the MSME sector is a major job creator, the CM welcomed the announcement of increasing the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) till March 2023 and expanding the ambit from Rs 50,000 crore to Rs 5 trillion.
He said since UP has the largest concentration of MSMEs, the scheme would prove to be a boon for the state.

“The promotion of self-reliance in defence manufacturing sector is a definite step towards making India a world power,” Yogi said while thanking Modi for drafting the roadmap which would ultimately benefit the manufacturing activities in the UP Defence Industrial Corridor.
