‘The Kerala Story’, a film based on the alleged large scale and induced conversion of Hindu women in Kerala, will now be tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.

UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has also announced that he along with his entire cabinet will watch the film in Lucknow on May 12.

Yogi took to micro blogging site Twitter to make the twin announcements in this regard.

Earlier, some other states had also announced to accord tax-free status to the film, which is already making waves in India.

However, some states including West Bengal and Tamil Nadu have banned the screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ citing possible disturbance to peace as the underlying reason.

Film director Sudipto Sen has serenaded filmgoers on the controversial theme.

The film purportedly depicts true stories of a few Kerala women who were allegedly radicalised by pan global terror network ISIS.
